This prayer is limited to the skills that the cleric has and the clerics level. Level 2 Prayer Name: Heal SP Cost: amount + 10 Syntax: heal Skills used: cleric faith, cleric knowledge Description: This prayer heals the target the amount that you specify. The actual healing power and true amount the target is healed is dependant on your skills. The minimum amount of healing is 25. The target must be in the same room as the cleric. If the target is devoted to the faith of the cleric, they will receive extra healing. Because of the focus involved in healing you must wait a few moments before healing again, therefore you should take care in healing small amounts repetatively as this can be detrimental. Level 3 Prayer Name: Dahkoar Pain SP Cost: 10 + Level Syntax: dahkpain Skills used: cleric faith, combat attack Description: This prayer sends a stabbing pain into your target. The damage is based on the clerics level, cleric faith and combat attack skills. Level 4 Prayer Name: Deplete SP Cost: 40 + Level Syntax: deplete Skills used: cleric preach, mental discipline Description: This prayer calls upon Dahkoar to drain the power of a target. Both the health and power of a target will be drained based on the clerics level, cleric preach, and mental discipline skills. Level 5 Prayer Name: Death Watch SP Cost: 10 Syntax: deathwatch Skills used: none Description: This prayer allows you to see what condition the target is in. Basically it will show you their health status. The target will be notified of you watching them. Technique Name: Preach SP Cost: 20 Syntax: Preach Skills used: None Description: As a cleric you can learn the ability to preach to the masses. By preaching, your words are more noticeable and spoken with more authority than otherwise seen in talking or yelling. Preaching is a local prayer only affecting those in the immediate area where you preach. Level 6 Prayer Name: Dahk Infect SP Cost: 45 Syntax: dahkinfect Skills used: cleric faith, mental focus, cleric knowledge Description: This prayer sends a hideous infection into your target causing their skin to sicken and their body to weaken. This prayer has a long duration but the sickness will run its course in time. The power of the infection is dependant on the cleric's skills. Level 7 Technique Name: Confuse SP Cost: 50 Syntax: confuse Skills used: cleric preach, wisdom Description: This prayer brings the shadows of Dahkoar to surround your opponents, confusing them and giving you better opportunities to strike. This confusion only affects those that you are fighting against. The duration and strength of the confusion is based on your wisdom and your cleric preach skill and your level. The resistance to the confusion is based on your enemies skills and level. Level 8 Prayer Name: Fatigue SP Cost: 40 Syntax: fatigue Skills used: cleric knowledge, mental focus, merchant leader Description: This prayer calls upon Dahkoar to tire your victim. With high skills this can significantly reduce the targets ability to move for a long time. Level 9 Prayer Name: Heal Far SP Cost: amount + 25 Syntax: healfar minimum amount is 25 Skills used: cleric faith, cleric knowledge Description: Using the healing powers you have learned in earlier training you can now heal a person from far away. This has been known to save many lives in distant danger. This prayer heals the target the amount that you specify and like the normal heal, the power of healing is based on your skills. If the target is devoted to the faith of the cleric, they will receive extra healing. The target must be devoted to your faith or well known by you in order to be healed from a distance. Such mental and/or spiritual connection is needed for the prayer to operate. Prayer Name: Learn Devotion SP Cost: 50 Syntax: learndevotion Skills used: cleric faith, cleric preach Description: This prayer seeks out the aura of another person and tells you what religious affiliation they have. Success is based on your abilities and the abilities of your target. Level 10 Prayer Name: Dahk Blade SP Cost: 50 Syntax: dahkblade Skills used: cleric faith, combat attack Description: This prayer sends an arcing blade of darkness into your foe, the power of which is based on your level, cleric faith, and combat attack skills. Prayer Name: Rot Food SP Cost: 25 Syntax: rotfood Skills used: cleric knowledge, level Description: This prayer turns the food focused on into a hurtful rotten replica. The nice thing about this is that anyone eating the food will be painfully aware only when it is probably too late. Level 11 Prayer Name: Curse Armor SP Cost: 25 Syntax: cursearmor Skills used: cleric faith, merchant leader Description: This prayer calls a dark curse upon the defenses of your foe making them easier to attack and hit for a duration based on the clerics faith, merchant leadership, and level. Prayer Name: Darken Area SP Cost: 60 Syntax: darkenarea Skills used: cleric faith, mental focus, cleric knowledge Description: This prayer will darken an area for a period of time. The darkness is not powerful enough to stop light from a torch or other source to lighten the area, but it will turn a normally lighted area dark. How dark the area becomes and how difficult it is to lighten it is based on your skills and level. Level 12 Prayer Name: Constant Death Watch SP Cost: 25 + 2 per round Syntax: constantdeathwatch Skills used: cleric faith, cleric preach, mental discipline Description: This prayer allows you to continually watch the condition the target is in. Tihis will continue on for a duration based on your skills, you run out of power, or you stop it. The target will be notified of your watching them when you start doing so. Prayer Name: Devotion SP Cost: -- Syntax: Read the sign at the Temple Skills used: -- Description: This prayer is the ability to allow a another person to devote themselves fully to your beliefs. With devotion comes the ability to do several things that aren't normally possible. Read help devote for a further explanation of this ability. Level 13 Prayer Name: Shadow Hit SP Cost: 60 Syntax: shadowhit Skills used: combat attack, cleric preach Description: This prayer allows the cleric to hit expertly from the shadows, finding points of greatest pain and attacking there. By doing so, the cleric hits their foe harder and with more damage each combat round. The duration of this prayer is based on the clerics level, and skills. Prayer Name: Mute SP Cost: 35 Syntax: mute Skills used: cleric faith, cleric preach, mental discipline Description: There are times when you just cannot take the ranting and raving of the foolishly spoken in society. It is these times that your only alternative is to remove the vocal abilities of the heretic. Historical records in the Dahkoar Cleric Guild have documented that this power was granted under the old adage: "tis better to shut up and be thought a fool, than to open one's mouth and remove all doubt." Level 14 Prayer Name: Flu SP Cost: 50 Syntax: flu Skills used: merchant leader, cleric faith Description: Giving someone the flu can become a horrid event as the person will wretch out the contents of their stomach and not be able to eat for a period of time. The duration is based on your skills and has been known to be deadly to persons in serious need of food. Note: This command will work on NPCS, however the effect is much greater on players, since it would only affect those NPCS that eat. Prayer Name: Darkness SP Cost: 50 Syntax: darkness Skills used: cleric preach, combat defense, cleric knowledge Description: This prayer brings the darkness of Dahkoar to envelop your target and decrease their ability to hit you. The duration is dependant on the cleric's wisdom, cleric preach, combat defense, and cleric knowledge skills. Level 15 Prayer Name: Dahk Contagion SP Cost: 85 Syntax: dahkcontagion Skills used: cleric faith, mental focus, mental discipline, cleric knowledge Description: Like the disease inflicted by dahk infect, this prayer increases the volatile aspects of the infection by making the disease contagious. Not only will the target become weak and sickly, but they will have a small chance of infecting others. The power of the infection is dependant on the cleric's skills. Prayer Name: Scry SP Cost: 50 Syntax: scry Skills used: mental discipline, mental focus, merchant leader Description: Using your mental powers and that of your knowledge of others you have the ability to search out the mind of another and see where they are from far away. This is a highly taxing ability and can only be used every so often. Failure will let your victim know someone is trying to find them. Full failure will tell your victim who was looking for them. Whether or not the person notices you scrying them and the chance of failure are dependant on your skills and level and that of your victim. Prayer Name: Marry SP Cost: -- Coin Cost: 100,000 Coppers Syntax: marry Skills used: None Description: The ability to marry a couple is limited to the orders of religious guilds. Marriage may be performed or ordered according to your guild directions. Marry performs the final rights and announces the marriage to the world. The cost of this ability is 100 crowns for marriage and is taken directly from your bank account. Divorce is more costly, costing 100 crowns per person. Divorce may be done individually, but marriage requires both parties to be present. Married couples will not forget eachother even in death. OOC NOTES: The syntax you use will show you how your marriage description will be seen around the world and ask you for confirmation. After you confirm the message will be relayed. This allows you a chance to practice. Level 16 Prayer Name: Unhallow Ground SP Cost: 75 Syntax: unhallow Skills used: cleric preach, mental focus, cleric knowledge Description: A dahkoar cleric has the ability to pray in an area and make the ground in that area unhallow. When successful, anyone residing in the area will not heal properly and may even feel some pain. The duration and power of the prayer is based on the cleric's skills. Dahkoar clerics are not affected by this prayer. Prayer Name: Intox SP Cost: 100 Syntax: intox Skills used: cleric faith, cleric preach, cleric knowledge mental discipline, mental focus Description: This prayer will cause your target to become drunk from your powers. The amount of intoxication is based on your skills. Level 17 Prayer Name: Wither SP Cost: 50 Syntax: wither Skills used: cleric preach, cleric knowledge, cleric faith Description: With knowledge of the darkness, a cleric ican cause a victim to shrink in power and stature. This prayer does not start combat, but rather reduces the victim to a slobbering fool, more easily defeated. The withering reduces all areas of the opponent's abilities, health, power, and endurance, as well as their ability to combat. Prayer Name: Animate Corpse SP Cost: 65 Syntax: animatecorpse Skills used: merchant leader, mental discipline Description: In this case you use your powers to bring a corpse back to life in the form of an undead. This prayer speeds up the process of creating undead and when successful will quickly raise a corpse to undead status. A sometimes dangerous prayer, the corpse may sometimes turn on whoever is present, but will always attack anyone entering the area. A corpse must be present for this prayer to work. The strength of the undead is based on that of the corpse and success is based on your skills and level. Prayer Name: Divorce SP Cost: -- Coin Cost: 100,000 Coppers per person Syntax: divorce Skills used: None Description: The ability to divorce is the offset of marriage, but the cost is double, in the sense that it costs 100,000 coppers per person instead of for both. This is because each person must have a cleric divorce them as the power is to the individual declaring the divorce. Marriage is a sacred event and should be done with all seriousness. The action of divorce is left up to the clerical guilds and religions to determine when it should occur This means that the guild or cleric can decide what extra punishment may be meted out beyond the cost. OOC NOTES: The syntax you use will show you how your divorce description will be seen around the world and ask you for confirmation. After you confirm the message will be relayed. This allows you a chance to practice. You must do this for BOTH people. Level 18 Prayer Name: Grasp SP Cost: 75 Syntax: grasp Skills used: combat attack, mental focus, cleric knowledge Description: This prayer surrounds your hand with a dark power and allows you to grasp your victiim with a bone-chilling power. Your victim will then be held in place and scream out in pain as your grasp delivers unbridled torture to their body. Prayer Name: Vision SP Cost: 250 Syntax: vision Skills used: -- Description: This prayer will bring the powers of your faith to bear and compile a vision of dramatic proportions in the form of your prayer to the intended target. Use of this prayer must be seldom for the power of the vision can alter the targets life with the thoughts that they will perceive. A vision is to be used to guide and create a mystic direction for a person. It is not to be used as the voice of a God. Using visions to force new players toward a religion or make a player think a God is talking to them is against the rules. Your target must be aware in order to receive the vision. (ooc: they must be online.) Note: Because of the cost and time it takes to be able to use this power, you might want to create the vision in a text editor and mud mail it to yourself first to ensure proper format. Level 19 Prayer Name: Dahk Orb SP Cost: 100 + Level Syntax: dahkorb Skills used: combat attack, mental focus, cleric preach Description: This prayer sends an orb of pure darkness into the target. After a small amount of time the orb will energize and explode in the victim, causing them excrutiating pain. Such acts of pure terror have made even the strongest wimper like a child. Prayer Name: Disfellowship SP Cost: -- Syntax: Read the sign at the Temple Skills used: -- Description: This prayer removes the ability of another person's devotion to your religion. Disfellowshipping someone is a serious act and should be only for severe reasons. Read help devote for a further explanation of this ability. Level 20 Prayer Name: Dahkmind SP Cost: 75 Syntax: dahkmind Skills used: cleric preach, mental discipline, mental focus Description: Darkening a victim's mind can be very debilitating to even the most powerful foe. When you call upon this prayer, you send dark energies into your target's mind and destroy their ability to call upon most powers, making them virtually helpless against your might. The duration is based on your level and skills. Prayer Name: Dahkflames SP Cost: 100 Syntax: dahkflames Skills used: cleric preach, cleric faith, cleric knowledge Description: This prayer will encircle you in a ring of flames that will burn everyone around you that tries to engage you in combat. The fiery flames cause damage based on your skills and will remain around you for a duration that is also based on your skills and your level continuing to burn your enemies with impunity. Level 21 Prayer Name: Barrier SP Cost: 175 Syntax: barrier Skills used: cleric faith, cleric preach, merchant leader combat defense Description: There comes a time when you wish to keep people from leaving an area where you are for one reason or another. This powerful prayer sets up barriers of spiritual darkness that will stop all but the most forceful and powerful from crossing. It takes some time to create the barrier and once created it will block all exits. A person attempting to leave the area will suffer a certain amount of energy loss as the darkness sucks their power from them. Some interesting aspects of the spiritual barrier are that a person can enter an area that has a barrier, just not leave it. Also, the barrier is only effective against adventurers. The strength and duration of the barrier is based on the clerics skills. Prayer Name: Reject SP Cost: 75 Syntax: reject Skills used: merchant leadership, cleric preach, cleric faith Description: There are times when you are so completely irritated with a person that you can't stand the sight of them and need to remove them from your presence without actually wanting to kill the infidel. It is these times that you can pray for the power of Dahkoar to reject the moron and banish them from your sight. Upon success the rejection will blast the victim several rooms away from you and leave them dazed for a time. Some clerics have found this ability to be both rewarding and in humorous as you watch the person fly from your sight. Note: for obvious reasons ability is only effective against other players. Level 22 Prayer Name: Darken Shadows SP Cost: 150 Syntax: darkenshadows Skills used: cleric faith, mental discipline, cleric knowledge Description: Sometimes it is important to remain hidden and to block the abilities of others to find someone who is hidden. With this prayer you call darkness into the corners and shadows of an area making it nearly impossible for a person to be found if they are using an ability or item to hide them. The strength of the darkening is based on your skills and level and success in finding a person in the dark shadows is based on their skills and level. The darkened shadows will not be noticeable to anyone searching the area, they will just fail to find anyone they are searching for. Prayer Name: Earthquake SP Cost: 150 Syntax: earthquake Skills used: combat attack, cleric faith, cleric knowledge cleric preach Description: Powerful and deadly the earthquake is a massive destructive force that will build slowly and then lay waste to anyone in the room. Luckily only your foes will be harmed by the movement of the earth around them. The earthquake will do most of its damage when it hits but it will also continue for a short time damaging anyone who continues to be foolish enough to remain in the same area with you. The power and damage involved is based on your skills and level. Level 23 Prayer Name: Poison Cloud SP Cost: 250 Syntax: poisioncloud Skills used: combat attack, cleric faith, mental focus, cleric preach Description: Sending a cloud of poisonous gas into an area is a skill hard earned by the adept cleric. This gaseous force forms on the hand of the cleric and is blown in the direction the cleric dictates causing all in the area to be infected by the noxious fumes. The power and distance the cloud will travel is based on the cleric's skills and level. Resistance to the cloud's fumes are based on the level and skills of those caught in it. As with most detrimental powers, those devoted to Dahkoar are saved from the fumes. It should be noted that the cloud will only travel in a straight line and stop if there is no further direction to travel until it dissipates. Prayer Name: Mirrorhit SP Cost: 80 Syntax: mirrorhit Skills used: combat defense, cleric faith, cleric preach Description: In ancient times the Mirrorhit was referred to as the ultimate life preserver, having saved several clerics from certain death during the time of the chaos struggles when very powerful destruction was visited on the land. The power surrounds the cleric with a force that acts as a mirror against pain and damage causing the full force of damage to be mirrored back onto the aggressor. The mirror only lasts for the first time the cleric takes damage, but has proven lethal and saving when a foe can deliver a killing blow in one hit. How often you can call this power is dependant on your skills and level. Level 24 Prayer Name: Dahkblast SP Cost: 250 Syntax: dahkblast Skills used: combat attack, mental focus, cleric faith, cleric preach, cleric knowledge, level Description: Nothing can properly describe the awesome power of blasting your foes into oblivion. Known to only leave the outline of lesser beings in the ground after being visited upon by this destructive force, many have chosen not to anger the dahkoar cleric for fear of being the next victim. The dahkblast coalesces the forces of darkness into one powerful blast that rips through armor, protective spells, tissue, bone, and sinew, leaving the victim in a heap of ruined body parts. Level 25 Prayer Name: Animate Dead SP Cost: 400 Syntax: animatedead Skills used: merchant leader, mental discipline, cleric preach Description: Animate dead is a much stronger prayer than the less powerful animate corpse. In this situation the corpse is raised from the dead in its original form to be controlled like a puppet by the marionnette. While not wielding all of the attributes of the original, it will have the same appearance and some of the powers of the original. Success will allow you to control the undead with the commands listed below. Failure will destroy the corpse. Because of the difficulty of this prayer, usage is infrequent. Prayer Name: Dahk Plague SP Cost: 400 Syntax: dahkplague Skills used: cleric faith, merchant leader, mental focus, cleric preach Description: Horrible beyond belief, the Dahk Plague is a slow, yet insufferably evil disease that has been known to wipe out entire communities. Much care must be taken before the cleric unleashes such a volatile destruction on society, for many may perish from this rancid infection. The victims who contract the disease are likely to succumb to death while passing on the skin mutilating toxin to others. The massive ramifications from this prayer are based on the cleric's skills and level. Contracting the disease is based on the level and skills of those exposed. Devotees to the faith of Dahkoar are immune to the plague. Level 26 Prayer Name: Terror SP Cost: 150 Syntax: terror Skills used: merchant leader, cleric preach, mental discipline, wisdom, charisma Description: This illusion is formed by the clerics mind and skills creating a vision of ultimate terror in everyone nearby. The images created are horrifying and can cause even the most stalwart adventurer to cry out in fear. The style and terror of the illusion is based on the skills, level, wisdom and intellect of the cleric. The fear created is based on the skills, level, wisdom, and intellect of the victims. On success the victims will flee the area possibly dropping items, weapons, and gear as they run. Devotees of Dahkoar will be able to see through the illusion of terror. Level 27 Prayer Name: Summon Fiend SP Cost: 500 Syntax: summonfiend Skills used: All Description: Summoning of a fiend is a very powerful prayer that calls upon a creature of the netherworld and darkness to come forth from their domain and serve the cleric that calls them. A fiend is a notoriously hideous foe and to force it to servitude can be challenging at best. Failure to successfully hold command over the fiend will cause it to attack the cleric on arrival both viciously and dangerously. The rewards of success are quite marketable, however, and the fiend that can be held in captivity is bound by an invisible chain to the cleric. Success or failure is based on your skills and level. Commands available to control the Fiend: --------------------------------------------------------------- fiend follow me: Fiend will follow you. fiend unfollow me: Fiend will stop following you. fiend protect me: Fiend will protect you. fiend unprotect me: Fiend will stop protecting you. fiend attack : Fiend will attack the target. fiend hpall now: Fiend will will hpall. fiend get : Fiend will get everything in the room. fiend drop : Fiend will drop the item named. fiend emote : Fiend will use an emote. fiend disperse now: Fiend will be released. Note: Fiends under your control do not speak, so do not try to make them speak. Breaking rules or using the fiend to act out of character will result in harsh penalties. Level 28 Prayer Name: Spirit Walk SP Cost: 350 Syntax: spiritwalk Skills used: mental focus, cleric knowledge, mental discipline Description: Leaving one's body is an extremely dangerous yet exhilirating ability for while one is away from their body they risk death as the longer one is away the closer they come to entering into death's realm. Once in spirit form a cleric can pass through areas without detection, virtually moving invisibly. While in spirit, the cleric still has mass and therefore cannot pass through walls, floors, or ceilings. The length of time one can walk as a spirit is based on the skills and level of the cleric. Level 29 Prayer Name: Global Despair SP Cost: 500 EP Cost: 1000 HP Cost: 250 Syntax: Global Despair Skills used: merchant leader, cleric preach, cleric faith, mental discipline, wisdom, constitution Description: Similar to the power of Terror, Global Despair is more debilitating and dangerous world wide, for rather than illusion, this strike against the very heart and mind of all adventurers can cause real physical pain and mental anguish as well as fatigue. During the course of the despair, those affected will be smitten by losses in health, power, and endurance based on their skills, level, and constitution. The power of the despair is based on that of your skills, level, and wisdom. Care should be taken when causing such havoc globally as surely there will be beings who wish to retaliate against such pain. Luckily, the faithful devotees of Dahkoar will be completely safe from such harm. It should be noted that the focus and cost of such a wide spread action will reduce you in power, health, and endurance at the time of the prayer and will limit you in calling on other prayers for some time. Prayer Name: Recall SP Cost: 500 Coin Cost: 1,000,000 Coppers Syntax: recall Skills used: merchant leader, cleric faith, cleric preach, cleric knowledge, mental focus, mental discipline Description: Recalling someone from the land of the permanently dead is something only achieved by the most powerful clerics. Even then it is possible to fail in the endeavor as one must call upon their God to seek out the banished spirit and pray that somehow their God will force the spirit back into the land of the living. It is never guaranteed that this will occur and the cost is great. Many have defrayed the cost by asking the temple to support the payment via tithes. Note: Read help permadeath. This power is possible only for those that have fallen to permadeath. Level 30 Prayer Name: Holocaust SP Cost: 700 Syntax: Holocaust Skills used: All skills and attributes Description: The power of holocaust is so great that it takes some time to form the prayer and call upon the powers of darkness to fall upon all in the immediate area of the cleric. It is such a release of power and destruction that even those in the surrounding rooms are blasted by this mighty explosion. So incredibly forceful the holocaust is not directional and no one is immune from the destructive blast that is finally released be it friend or foe. The cacophony of energies spewed forth form in a mighty eruption as great as that of a volcano as the very ground is charred and every creature within range is decimated by the force of the furious shockwave. It would do well to be far from the cleric who calls forth the holocaust for those within the surrounding area will likely be burned by the shockwave and left a charred corpse. The power and destructive force of the holocaust is based on the skills and level of the cleric and the armour, skills, attributes, and level of the victims.
